With over 20 years of experience in the Royal Navy and soon to pick up an MSc in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence, I bring a unique combination of leadership, technical expertise and a passion for problem-solving to every engagement. My Motivation

Whilst attending an AI workshop at Ai4 Las Vegas in August 2024, I was seated next to a charming gentleman named Hank. He was well-to-do, probably in his mid to late 60’s, and we were paired together during the first session.

We were first instructed to “get to know each other”. So I asked Hank why he was at the conference and what he hoped to gain from his attendance.

Almost immediately, he responded, “I run a manufacturing business, and I’d like to replace all my people with robots, but I don’t have the faintest idea of where to start!”
I thought to myself, Ten out of ten for effort and imagination, but actually, Hank shouldn’t need to attend an event like this. He should be back at his factory doing what he does best: running his company.

And that is when the concept of Coal Face AI was born. AI should be accessible to everybody, and you shouldn’t need an advanced understanding of the science to start your AI journey. That is where I come in.
